Short Reviews Of The Kdramas I've Watched - Part 1
Just sharing a few 1-2 line reviews of the dramas I have watched since Jan 2022. If the series was mindblowing, I would have probably written a full blog reviewing it, if it didn't make the cut, it would be here, lol. So here goes...
Images from the internet
While You Were Sleeping
Quite an okay series. I am not a big fan of Lee-Jong Suk. Watched it for Suzy and Jung Hae-In. Legal series, moderately exciting.
Oh My Venus
You have So Ji-sub and Shin Min-ah - what more can you ask for! I like how Shin Min-ah takes it in her stride to lose the extra pounds. I believe body shaming is wrong but being overweight and doing nothing about it is also wrong. Feminists, please stay away.
Like all KDramas, there are secrets and past connections. A good one to watch.
Crash Landing On You
Well, everyone must have already watched this classic. Watch it for the lead pair, beautiful story, the shooting spots are too good. To be honest, it gave me an insight into what it may be like inside North Korean territory. How can I forget the second pair and my other favourite Kim Jung-hyun! Undoubtedly one of the best KDramas of all time.
Strong Girl Bong-Soon
Cute lead pair, female-centric story, engaging too. Watched it for the cuteness overload of both leads and the second lead.
She Was Pretty
Romcom, watch it for Park Seo-joon (Oh his smile is so .... making me melt over and over again), Hwang Jung-eum, and Choi Si-won... I particularly loved the chemistry between Jung-eum and Si-won. And I liked the OST, especially the song Boom Boom Boom.
Healer
It is JCW's series, need I say more? Thriller, might drag at some points but worth a watch.
Suspicious Partner
Yet another JCW romantic comedy legal drama with some mystery moments. One of my favourite heroines, Nam Ji-hyun... It has JCW in it, and with him wearing suits and those sexy spectacles, uff, enough now!
Heirs
I think I do not want to watch another high school romance with spoiled brats and rich boy poor girl love stories. Watched it for Lee Min-ho but it has started getting irritating for me seeing him in the same role over and over again, might have to watch Pachinko to cleanse my head. The only positive thing that came out of this was I got introduced to Kim Woo-bin who led me to watch Our Blues. Thank God for that!
Boys Over Flowers
How can anyone write such a stupid story!! I know this is one of the older KDramas but the female lead is one of the most irritating ones I have ever seen. Only positive - the OST.
My Shy Boss
Yeon Woo-jin all the way! The story is just ok, unnecessary I felt at times. Passable.
School 2017
My first Kim Jung-hyun drama, a big fan of how he walks, very peculiar. It also has Jang Dong-yoon for whom I started watching this after Nokdu. The story is okay, maybe it is my age that I do not connect with the high school romance stories. Can watch it once.
What's Wrong With Secretary Kim
My first ever KDrama, Park Seo-joon oh yes... Typical story, long-lost connection and all that jazz. Watch it for the lead pair's chemistry, the hero yes!!
So this was part 1 of my short review for each of the KDramas I have seen. Will post Part 2 and subsequent parts shortly.
