Why You Must Watch This Fantastic Legal/Political Drama - Again My Life!

So this K Drama was released sometime in May 2022. Somehow I never came across any influencers recommending this series. Since I had watched Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (basically for IU) and fell in love with Lee Joon-Gi's acting, I started watching this series. 

To those that love legal/political dramas, this is a must-watch. Slick acting, solid characterisation, a storyline that keeps you guessing, and an edge-of-the-seat thriller of sorts, Again My Life has it all. 

I found the storyline riveting, kept me hungry for me that I binge watched this fairly intense series. 

While romcoms are nice, I am glad that this legal/political drama had less/almost nil romance, more action, and a strong story. Loved all the characters and how they build up too. 

LJG who plays Kim Hee Woo, a rookie prosecutor who takes on the political bigwigs, dies at the hands of one such Assemblyman (his henchman). He is given another chance at life by the Grim Reaper to punish this corrupt and evil Assemblyman.

The dedication and focus with which Kim Hee Woo, now reborn, works towards his goal, not getting distracted but yet maintaining friendships, and keeping an eye out for people he cares for, is simply out of this world. If only I had that focus in life, sob!

I am editing this blog to write about the OST - my favourites - Burn and Bring It On are fantastic - motivating, peppy, makes you want to push yourself. What a great confluence of music, story, action, direction, and best of all, the acting. Highly recommend this one to all KDrama fans especially LJG fans!!

So, fans of KDrama, if you like legal/politics stuff, action, and a good story - Again My Life is for you to watch.

The Veil - Underrated Action Thriller KDrama - Review

I had finished One dollar lawyer - a feel-good, funny, and warm legal series and was impressed by Namkoong Min's acting. The way he smiled, frowned, laughed, and walked, so like all fangirls, I googled him, and wow. The wonder of wonders, he is a multi-talented personality! 2021's The Veil came up in the search and when I read the reviews I had to watch it. Trigger warning - this series has a lot (I mean a lottt) of blood, violence, and gore, so please use your discretion to watch. The opening scene itself turned my insides so much that I decided to drop the series. Watched a little bit of Little Women again and then came back to this series once again. Every episode in this series has a mind-blowing beginning and closing scenes. Alchemy of Souls S1&S2 - Must Must Watch - Review!

Well, one of the best series of 2022 - lots of magic and action. It took me a while, at least till episode 4 of S1 to understand who each of the names corresponded to, what alchemy of souls meant, why someone does it, what or who mages are, and all that jazz. Till the 4th episode, things go slow but once you start understanding things, there's no looking back. Jang Uk played by Lee Jae-wook is fantastic, he is the black sheep in the family and has no powers or skills but with the help of his maid Mu Deok-i, he goes on a quick learner mode and picks up most of the skills that take years to master. He is also lucky in many ways and seems like the stars are aligning to help him out. Loved the chemistry between all the stars, Mu Deok-i played by Jung So-min whom I first saw in Because It Is My First Life, is pretty and smart as ever.
