Good Job - Just short of being a bad job

Good job series starts well but soon loses steam. Hero has athletic abilities and is a chaebol, while the heroine has super-vision. Add to this mix a tech-savvy lawyer and his interest who has a good presence of mind.

What starts as a search for il woo's mother's killers somehow loses track of the original high-paced start. They could have tightened the script a little and avoided the romance part too. Why can't two ppl just be partners/friends on a mission, why does everyone have to fall in love, ugh!

Il-woo's acting is the usual that he delivers - the best. His smile and style do stand out, and as his fan, I am biased. The comedy is good, slapstick most of the time but it kind of keeps the story afloat at times. The chemistry between il woo and the lawyer friend is good entertainment.

The second pair love story takes up airtime which I thought was unnecessary.

They claim to be good at disguise but what they wear or who they pretend to be doesn't really show, their faces are so obvious, anyone can easily guess who is who. Duh! They could have made Il-woo's character a bit more suave for the chaebol that he is.

As regards the heroine's super-vision, she uses it a lot in the first couple of episodes but hardly uses it at all in episodes 3-7, I felt disappointed at that because a lot could be done with her abilities.

It is only in the 7th episode that things feel they are falling into place but till that from the 2nd/3rd episode, the story felt like it was just running around in circles.

The heroine is plain, looks like you and me, nothing spectacular, her clothes are also plain, and nothing stands out - I like that for once because she is shown to be from an orphanage and still doing odd jobs to earn her paycheck. I haven't seen her in any Kdrama before this. I liked her acting, seemed natural and did not overdo anything.

I am not sure how the policeman Oppa found out who did what, maybe they misplaced the scene in the 11th episode. There are some loose ends here and there in the 11th episode.

As we came towards the end, this quote caught my eye... quite true, isn't it?

The finale episode is incorrigible. Logic dies 100 deaths, I don't know whether they switched writers at the last minute or something, the screenplay is awful. I wanted to recommend this just for il woo but no please don't waste time.

Thankfully this is a 12-episode series. And most of it goes like this scene below - extremely predictable and weird.

What did you think of this series, good job or a bad job?
