Eve - To Watch or Not To Watch - Review

I watched Eve after I saw Seo hye in Lawless Lawyer. I was shocked to see how much she had lost weight, she was all so pale in the entire series. I feel she had to lose weight to resemble a girl in her 20s. But believe me, she was so fragile. I couldn't bear seeing her.

While she does a fantabulous job with her acting, she can jump from being the coy Sun Bin to the menacing La El in seconds, her skinniness does keep troubling me. I really hope she is alright healthwise.

Coming to the story, a revenge drama, can get gory and scary, keeps you startled for most part (at least I was), disgusted by the villains for their actions.

How greed and power once again make people do things that are inhuman. How one man's greed for power and money can make him destroy an entire family and this man doesn't stop at hurting others, he hurts his own people. How growing up in such a situation can make a child also a devil.

Actors did a fantastic job getting into the skin of the characters. Assemblyman Park was one who I was rooting for, he appears so cute and loveable, very refreshing especially after I saw him as the villain in While You Were Sleeping.

The ending is open-ended I guess, I did not exactly understand what happened but I like to think positively. You get to hear about twin flames in this and a lot of Latino things.

The highlight is how a little girl trained by another woman who was wanting revenge meticulously destroys an entire group of people to exact revenge for what happened to her and many others.

I particularly liked this scene - most Korean dramas have this kneeling down part - I always wondered, does just kneeling make things right? I found my answer here in this scene.

The only sore point is Chairman Kang who appears expressionless for most part, he is actually a great actor - you would have seen him in Because This Is My First Life as the second/third lead where he is actually very enthusiastic and expresses himself a lot. Disappointed to some extent but he does manage to show his love for La El.

On the whole, a good watch, apparently the first 2-3 episodes were banned in Korea for its adult content, yes there is some adult stuff in the first few but watchable. Not for kids.
